We’re Having a Tuesday

October 3, 2006 ·

When mom and dad have two different homes and the kids are moving between them, some exasperation is inevitable. It’s exactly that kind of exasperation that’s behind DK Simoneau’s new book, We’re Having a Tuesday.

Written, as DK says, as a “communication tool meant to help children and adults discuss the frustrations of the ongoing lifestyle change of shuffling between two homes,” it’s a book for children and meant to be read, at least the first time, with a parent.

I’ve had a chance to read this sweet and gentle book and mention it here because there’s a perfect connection with stronger relationship communication, something I know a lot of my readers are interested in. If you’re a divorced or separated parent with young children, you should check out this book. I should mention that the focus is on heterosexual parents, with references to mom and dad.

At the end of the book there’s a great feature for parent and child to collaborate on some creative thinking together. I’ll leave it at that and you can go check out the book to find out more.

Let your friends know about it, too,
Tammy
